  • East High Street Elementary celebrates Unity Day and bully free schools

    East High Street Elementary celebrated National Unity Day on Wednesday, Oct. 19. As part of the celebration, students, faculty, and staff were encouraged to “GO ORANGE” by wearing orange-colored clothing to school to show a united front against bullying.

  • High school senior shared her wildlife academy experience with school directors

    Elizabethtown Area High School senior Leah Stern went from the wilderness to the boardroom to share her hands-on wildlife academy experience with the District’s school directors at a recent board meeting. As part of her outreach on the program, Stern stood before the board and administration to deliver a presentation on her real-world experience.

  • EAHS to Present Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice

    Elizabethtown Area High School will present its Fall Play – Pride and Prejudice – on Thursday, Nov. 3; Saturday, Nov. 5; and Sunday, Nov. 6. Performance times are 7 p.m. on Nov. 3 and Nov. 5, as well as 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Nov. 5 and Nov. 6 respectively.

  • EAHS hosting corn maze to benefit Four Diamonds Fund

    Elizabethtown Area High School’s Mini-Thon committee will be hosting a corn maze on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 5-9 p.m. The event will be held at Brubaker Farm, located at 1035 Union School Road in Mount Joy.

  • Bainbridge Elementary students tend to school garden

    Students from Bainbridge Elementary School, with the help of the school’s PTO, recently celebrated Garden Day by cleaning, weeding, and mulching the school’s science garden. The service learning project was connected to the school’s science curriculum on Life Cycles.

  • Fire prevention day held at Bainbridge Elementary

    Bainbridge Elementary School recently held “Fire Prevention Day” to stress the importance of being prepared in the event of an emergency. As part of the special program, representatives of the Bainbridge Fire Company Station 71 visited the school to share important safety tips.

  • EASD Inducts Four Into its Athletic Hall of Fame

    Elizabethtown Area High School inducted four former student-athletes into its Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, Oct. 7 at a special ceremony held at Elizabethtown College. Enshrined were Glenn Ebersole (Class of 1965), Melissa Hukill (Class of 1985), Terry Parks (Class of 1971), and Jared Sernoffsky (Class of 2006).

    Elizabethtown Area High School will celebrate Homecoming with a weeklong set of celebrations, as well as its annual football game and a dance the weekend of Oct. 14-15.

  • Elizabethtown Area School District To Honor Local Veterans

    The Elizabethtown Area School District will hold its annual Veterans Day ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 10, the day before the actual holiday, to honor our community’s military veterans. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m. in front of Elizabethtown Area High School (600 East High Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022).

  • E-town students recognized in prestigious National Merit Scholarship Program

    Elizabethtown Area High School senior Aparna Paul is among 16,000 semifinalists in the 62nd annual National Merit Scholarship Program. This prestigious designation placed her in the top one percent of all U.S. high school seniors and among the highest scoring entrants in Pennsylvania.

    Elizabethtown Area High School seniors Emily Reiner and Braydon Shuck were named the Elizabethtown Rotary Club’s students of month for September. Reiner and Shuck were honored for their high academic achievement and extensive involvement in school, and community service activities.

  • EASD Celebrates Patriot Day

    On Friday, Sept. 9, students, faculty and staff across the Elizabethtown Area School District commemorated Patriot Day by dressing in red, white and blue attire. The observance paid respect to the 2,977 victims who were killed during the terrorist attacks as well as the countless injured.

  • Rheems Elementary welcomes 'The NED Show' for character education assembly

    Rheems Elementary School recently welcomed the NED Show to its stage for a multi-sensory lesson in character development. The program used humor, story telling, yo-yo tricks, rope magic, and balloon art to motivate and inspire students to be “Champions” in school and in life.

  • EAMS hosts Classy Wednesday to promote self confidence

    On Wednesday, Sept. 7, Elizabethtown Area Middle School held it first "Classy Wednesday" promotion of the new school. To be held each Wednesday, this initiative encouraged the students, faculty, and staff to get dressed up to help promote self confidence and an overall sense of feeling good about themselves.
